This research report explores the intersection between Hong Kong’s ageing society and its climate transition and examines how Hong Kong’s “silver economy” and “green economy” may increasingly shape common systems - including housing, finance, and community infrastructure. As the population ages alongside growing climate pressures, there may be opportunities to better align these transitions so that older adults can live safely, comfortably, and meaningfully in a low-carbon and climate-resilient future.
